These mighty machines brave the winter storms to keep our roads safe and communities connected. Let’s give them names that reflect their vital role and showcase our state’s unique spirit!
How to Enter the Contest
You can enter faster than a piñon fire can crackle to life.
- Head to the NMDOT website
- Enter your most creative, winter-themed, or New Mexico-inspired name.
- Hit submit! But hurry, the deadline is Friday, December 20, 2024 at noon.
Important Contest Rules
- One entry per person.
- Maximum 20 characters (letters and spaces).
- Keep it clean and respectful. No vulgar, profane, or inappropriate language.
- No politics, please! This contest is meant to be fun and nonpartisan.
- No repeats from last year.
What Happens Next?
The NMDOT Communications team will review all submissions and select the most creative and inspiring names. Then, it’s up to the public to vote on their favorites.
The top 12 names will be assigned to snowplows across the state. Winners will have their names announced and celebrated statewide.
