This August, inspiring craftsmanship and thoughtful design are revealed around every corner. The 33rd Annual Haciendas: A Parade of Homes, presented by the Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association, showcases the pinnacle of achievement by builders, architects, designers, and craftspeople who team up to create some of the world’s best homes right here in Santa Fe. 
This year’s lineup of 13 parade stops includes the beloved self-guided tours August 8–10 and 15–17, builder party of the year – The Haciendas Reception & Awards Ceremony on August 13, a Twilight Tour on August 15, the Santa Fe experiences, raffle, and High Desert Architecture presents a Haciendas VIP Party / Fundraiser for Santa Fe Youth Symphony.
Participating homes feature new builds across a spectrum of price points and a wide range of styles. The Parade of Homes offers a chance to speak one-on-one with the build and design teams, opening the door to great learning opportunities about what it takes to create these homes.
A Parade with a Purpose
Unlike a typical open house, Haciendas is structured to reveal how homes are conceptualized, built, and lived in. Parade-goers have the opportunity to engage directly, ask questions, and interact with the homes.
While homes differ in size, price point, and style, each demonstrates the builder’s thoughtful integration with flow, the surroundings, and attention to quality craftsmanship. The parade emphasizes both design vision and technical execution, helping to demystify the homebuilding process.

Homes are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. across both weekends with builders available to discuss their vision and process. This year’s route spans multiple neighborhoods, providing a firsthand look at how residential design and neighborhoods are evolving in and around Santa Fe.

Sunset Soirée: Haciendas Reception & Awards Ceremony
August 13, 2025
5:30 – 9 p.m.
Held at the Farmers Market Pavilion, the Annual Haciendas Reception and Awards Ceremony is the builder party of the year! Awards are limited and recognize exemplary achievements in craftsmanship, design, material use, sustainability, and collaboration. Expect an evening of incredible cuisine in celebration of our local architectural and design mastery. Awards include the Grand Hacienda, Craftsmanship Awards, Design, Green Building, and special judges awards. The People’s Choice voting extends into the second weekend of the Parade of Homes and will be announced live online Sunday night, August 17.
Twilight Tours
August 15, 2025
4 – 9 p.m.
Five homes will open in the evening on Friday night showcasing homes by Big Art Building Corp, Acacia Builders, Clay Custom Homes, Seth Anderson Studio, and Pulte Homesso. Parade-goers have a chance to take in the golden hour through gorgeous window packages and from perfectly sited outdoor living spaces. Refreshments are provided, and builders are again on hand to host informal walkthroughs. The extended hours invite more in-depth and relaxed conversation and allow visitors to experience the homes at twilight.

Each home on the tour showcases the character of its design and build team. Experience the leading edge of contemporary and traditional kitchen design, primary suites, the latest finishes, lighting techniques, technology, outdoor living, landscape design, and unique features you’ve never imagined.
Design choices reflect the timeless and ever-evolving knowledge on how homes embrace our lives, how they are oriented on the land, how homes play with light. Now, interior and exterior spaces flow into one another. Parade homes show off the plentiful opportunities for use of local, sustainable materials, fixtures, and technologies for maximum comfort and livability.
The Parade of Homes is not only about aesthetics. For many attendees, it serves as an educational workshop. Those planning to build, renovate, or purchase a new home will gain valuable insight and inspiration on what to seek for their own home-sweet-home adventure and what to expect when working with a build and design team.

The Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association and Northern New Mexico Builders Association have been helping people connect with craftsmen and trades professionals to manifest their dreams of creating a home sweet home since 1992.
Each year, Northern New Mexico Builders Association’s members construct about 80% of the new homes built in the United States, both single-family and multifamily. SFAHBA is part of a larger federation of 700 state and local builders associations across the Nation, Northern New Mexico Builders Association represents more than 140,000 members who work to provide homeownership and rental housing opportunities for all Americans.
The association provides education, advocates for housing and zoning issues, and hosts public events focused on building quality and housing access. It also connects people with local building professionals.
