Raise a Can to Santa Fe: New ZOZOBRA 101 Beer Debuts in 2025
Santa Fe’s favorite fire-filled tradition just got a flavorful twist. The Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe, keeper of Zozobra’s flame, has teamed up with Santa Fe Brewing to launch the bold new ZOZOBRA 101 beer, to be available in a stunning, collectible can featuring original artwork by renowned local artist Jim Vogel.
This dark Mexican lager, inspired by the rich, smooth notes of a Negra Modelo, is packed with flavor and fiery personality. With hints of chocolate and a fuller body, ZOZOBRA 101 beer is perfect for warm summer nights, backyard celebrations, or toasting to tradition with friends.
First Taste Party: Celebrate the ZOZOBRA 101 Beer Launch
The First Taste Party was originally scheduled for August 1, but was rescheduled to August 8. Head to Santa Fe Brewing beginning August 1 to taste ZOZOBRA 101 on tap.

Sample the new brew, enjoy live music from EZ Band, and experience a night of immersive fun with a drone fireworks laser display show, and even LED wristbands for interactive crowd participation. Women-only porta-potties, added seating, and delicious ready-made food make this an event designed for everyone’s comfort and enjoyment.
Zozobra 101 Beer: A Taste of Culture and Community
What began as a series of limited-edition draught beers served only during the annual Burning of Zozobra Festival has now evolved into a tradition of a different color. With the can release, Santa Fe Brewing and the Kiwanis Club are bringing the spirit of Zozobra, and the power of releasing gloom, into homes across the region.
This exclusive Zozobra 101 beer will be available for purchase in early August at select stores and bars across Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Proceeds from each can go directly to support community initiatives led by the Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe.
