Los Alamos 2023 Fourth of July Spectacular - SantaFe.com

Celebrate Independence Day in style, as Sancre Productions and the Los Alamos County Community Service Department host the annual Fourth of July Spectacular, with music, entertainment, vendors, and, of course, fireworks. The headliner for this year’s event will be the “world’s most passionate tribute to the band Queen”: Bohemian Queen. The 2023 Fourth of July Spectacular takes place at Overlook Park in White Rock, Tuesday, July 4, 2023.

In addition to the music, this popular event will feature food and merchandise vendors, face painters, arts and crafts booths, a car show, nonprofit exhibitors, and more for the entire family. Rolling Still Brothers from Taos will be the official alcohol partner for the Fourth of July Spectacular, and will be serving up all of your favorite cocktails and most popular New Mexico beer brands.

Fourth of July Spectacular: A Spirited Musical Lineup

The day of diverse entertainment begins at 4 p.m. with the Los Alamos Community Winds, who have been a staple of the Fourth of July celebration in White Rock for decades and feature many of the area’s best classically trained musicians. The United States 44th Army Band, known as New Mexico’s Own, consisting of enlisted military members, will follow at 4:45 p.m. with patriotic music along with some surprise modern hits.

At 5:30 p.m., the Los Alamos Fourth of July Spectacular heats up with Katy P and The Business, one of Northern New Mexico’s most exciting bands, playing high-energy covers and a few originals.

The headliner, Bohemian Queen takes the stage at 7 p.m. to really bring the house down. This internationally touring Queen tribute band features an incredible lead vocalist, and the musical chops to put us all in a time machine and takes us back to the ’80s when Queen were the kings of the music scene. The production value that Sancre Productions and Bohemian Queen bring to the table are unparalleled and the audience can expect excellent sound, costumes, and all of Queens’ most popular songs.

At 9 p.m., the Los Alamos Kiwanis Club launches an incredible fireworks display as they have done for decades. The fireworks alone would be enough reason to head out to Overlook Park, but the talented and spirited music lineup featured is guaranteed to make this an event to remember for years to come. Mark your calendars!
