When the school bell rings this fall, hundreds of Santa Fe students will walk into classrooms with confidence, thanks to a community initiative providing free school supplies.
Four powerhouse community partners are joining forces for the 2025 Santa Fe Back-to-School Supply Drive. Title sponsor Bobby J’s Santa Fe Motorsports, along with Hutton Broadcasting, Santa Fe Public Schools (SFPS), and Sam’s Club, are collaborating to create the largest community school supply drive in the region.

Griffin, superintendent of Santa Fe Public Schools. “This partnership helps level the playing field for our students and provides families with much-needed support as the school year approaches.”

Why Santa Fe Students Need Your Support
As the 2025–2026 school year approaches, many Santa Fe County families face financial challenges when purchasing back-to-school essentials. 
Research shows that students with proper supplies demonstrate improved academic performance, better classroom participation, and increased confidence throughout the school year.
The Santa Fe Back-to-School Supply Drive addresses this critical need by providing free school supplies to students across all grade levels, from elementary through high school. This game-changing initiative helps Santa Fe students walk into their classroom on day one prepared to succeed.
How to Participate in the Santa Fe School Supply Drive

Two Simple Ways to Transform a Student’s Year
1. Purchase Pre-Packed School Supply Kits
Starting July 20, Sam’s Club Santa Fe will feature specially curated student supply packages designed to meet grade-specific needs for Santa Fe children. These convenient kits include essential writing materials, notebooks, folders, and more.
2. Individual Supply Donations
Clearly marked collection bins will be positioned near the Sam’s Club entrance for individual donations. The supplies that will make the biggest difference:
- Backpacks
- Pencils and pencil sharpeners
- Crayons and colored pencils
- Pens and markers
- Highlighters
- Binders, folders, and dividers
- Loose leaf wide and college-ruled paper
- Wide-ruled and college-ruled notebooks
- Glue sticks
- Scissors (child-safe)
- Rulers and protractors
- Index cards and sticky notes
- Tissues, disinfecting wipes, and hand sanitizer
